Our AI Policy
Sound Off Media Company uses AI as a production tool — not as a replacement for people.
What we use AI for
We use AI-assisted tools to make real recordings sound better. These include Descript Sound Studio, Waves Regen and Adobe Enhance Speech for things like noise reduction, dialogue cleanup and audio restoration.
We also use Otter.ai for transcription and AI-assisted tools, including a workflow we are beta-testing using Claude, to help draft show notes, episode descriptions and other content for SEO and discoverability.
Everything we publish is reviewed by a human. Every podcast is edited by ear.
What we don't use AI for
We do not use AI to clone, reproduce or replace human voices.
The hosts, guests and voiceover talent you hear in our productions are real people. We don't create synthetic replacement lines or make someone appear to have said something they didn't say.
If we ever use AI-generated or materially manipulated audio, video or imagery that could reasonably be mistaken for something real, we will clearly disclose it.
Our approach to AI-generated content
We follow the transparency principles of the EU AI Act across our podcasts, websites, video and social content.
AI can help us draft or enhance content. It does not get the final say. A human reviews the substance, checks the work and takes editorial responsibility before publication.
A note about advertising
Some of our podcasts contain programmatic advertising supplied and inserted by third-party advertising platforms. We cannot guarantee that every ad delivered through those systems is free of AI-generated voices or other AI-generated content.
Those ads are not produced by Sound Off Media Company. If we had the ability to prohibit AI-generated advertising from being served in our podcasts, we would.
Our standard is straightforward: use AI to make the work better, never to fake the people making it.
