K. Margaret Solario: Finding Calm in Chaos: The Power of Energy
I speak with intuitive guide, energy mentor, and author K. Margaret Solario to explore how we can bring more ease, calm, and alignment into our everyday lives as moms—without having to change our entire external world. Kay shares how COVID became her breaking point, shifting her from “holding it all together” to realizing life shouldn’t feel like constant battle armor and a race against time. Over three years, she experimented with energy, mindset, and time, eventually creating the tools she now shares in her book, Make Ease Your Vibe.
We talk about reframing our relationship with time, letting go of the belief that big dreams require huge blocks of perfect conditions. Kay shares how she wrote her first draft in just 15 focused minutes a day. We dig into mindset patterns like over-explaining, proving our worth, and arguing for our own limitations, and how shifting these creates more freedom.
She also introduces the idea of energetic clutter in our homes—how spaces hold emotional residue—and explains her Home Frequency Reset work, which she does remotely with angelic guidance. Throughout, we come back to one core truth: joy and ease aren’t luxuries for moms; they’re the point, and living that truth becomes a powerful blueprint for our kids.

I'm sitting down with Kay Margaret solario. She is an intuitive guide. She is a mama, she is an energy mentor, a podcast host and an author. So she is taking care of so many things at once, and doing it with ease, which is actually the title of her book make ease your vibe. And she is the genius behind home frequency reset, because she understands the importance of feeling good where you are, because that really has an impact in how you show up for yourself and for your family. And she really wants to create energetic alignment in our home so that we can start to feel lighter and clearer and have more energy and freedom to live the way that we want to live. And so we're going to talk about how energy in our home affects our mood, how we can tap into our intuition, and how it will benefit our relationships with ourselves and with our family. And she shares so many simple ways that we can tune in and clear out and reconnect to our inner calm, and we're going to hear about the story about how she wrote her book, why she's up here, and sharing her mission and why she this message is landing for so many of us right now. So if your life has felt really loud and messy and overwhelming and just a little off, which I know mine has felt this season, this episode is going to feel like somebody has finally turned down the volume so you can hear your own voice again. So I'm you're gonna love her. I love her podcast. I'm gonna drop everything in the show notes so you can go just absorb everything that is her. And so please introduce yourself to my audience. I'm so happy you're here.
K. Margaret 2:35
Yeah, and thank you for the beautiful introduction. Hello everyone again. I'm Kay Margaret. I'm very excited to be here. And for me, it all started during covid, which I think changed a lot of people's lives. But that just that feeling of when you're doing too much and you're holding it together, and then something like covid comes into your life and you realize, good lord, no. Like I always felt like my my life went from a horizontal marathon to a vertical that year, and I just was crushed, and I couldn't keep up and and at some point I just, I kept say, I thought to myself, you know, it shouldn't be this hard. I'm a good person. I work really hard. I love my family, and somehow I feel like I'm fighting. I wake up in the morning and I feel like I put this armor on and I'm racing against time, and everything's on my shoulders and and I don't get to enjoy the life I'm building. I felt so disconnected. So that's when I started diving into this work and figuring out, well, what can I do? Obviously, can't control everything with covid. That made that clear. So what can I do to start bringing some ease into my life, and maybe, you know, God forbid, to have that be the primary way of being. So that's what led me about three year journey till I had kind of all these tricks and tools that I included in my book. And once I kind of figured out I was really surprised after those three years that my life didn't look different on the outside, but from the inside out. It was a 180 and I was like, Well, wait a second, I need to tell this to as many moms and other folks as I can, because it's deceptive. And we were kind of talking about that before we pushed record, that a lot of times it feels like you have to change your whole life or everything about the way you do things, or everything has to change to have this new existence, and it's to feel that ease and to feel that shift in how you do things. You don't have to change who you are. The opposite, you're remembering who you are. You're allowing your light to shine. You're giving up the all the shoulders. You're re kind of reprogramming that story you tell yourself and and also for me, what was really big, and I talk about that in the book, is reframing my relationship with time itself. I talked about how I used to have this feel like I put armor on to get everybody out the door in the morning, and that was always one of my biggest struggles. And then I learned about how we we are energetically magnets and. So if we put that cosmic order out to the universe and say, I don't have enough time, I don't have enough time, the universe goes, great. Love you so much. Not going to give you enough time. Let me throw all these things at you that'll come, that'll prove that point, that you don't have enough time to get it done the way you want to. And so slowly, you know, the first few times, 100 times, you say you say you don't quite believe it, and you go, wait, I have time for everything. I have time for everything. It just your you know, your shoulders relax. You feel the energy. The weight of the words is different when they come out of your mouth. And then you slowly get that evidence for your ego of, oh, wait. This can go differently. You know, I don't have to have 10 things that I don't want to happen on the way out the door. This can happen with ease, and, you know, someone picks up something, or this goes a little easier, and then you realize you're early, and you didn't feel like you were going any faster. But it all kind of starts to flow, like we talk a lot about, I feel like in our culture, especially, we have we talk about negative spiral, like spiraling negatively. We don't talk about positive spirals, but they exist too, so you can kind of step on to that. And so my work has now evolved to working with spaces and not just with women, because I really found that energetically, it's such an opportunity for your space to support you and and the work you're doing, either on yourself or with the environment you're building for your family, like the things we have have trigger us emotionally. They have everything has energetic content. It has this energetic residue. So whether you're clearing out the space like it was somebody else's or, you know, I always the I like the example, because I think we've experienced it where someone has an argument and it's over, but then you walk into the space and it's quite evident that there was an argument, that energetic residue is there. You can read it, you can feel it. So a lot of energy is emotions are energy in motion. So the way we pick up on those signals is caring about how we feel. So that's that's that energetic component. So I love little shifts in the spaces around us that can then tie you energetically to your future, to who you want to be instead of who you were. And kind of bringing that awareness in is brings me joy.
Scottie Durrett 7:24
I love that. Oh, we're going to talk all about the energy, spaces and the environment, because that's really powerful. And I think something that people don't understand the importance of it. But I do want to go back to just what you were saying. Your life looks the same. I think that's a really important focus for any you know, my mom's listening. I think there's this belief in her head that in order for her to feel better, she has to wait until her kids are older, or she lose the 10 pounds, or life changes. And I think what you're showing, which is so powerful, it's, you don't have to wait for any of that, right? But there are a few simple shifts so, you know, in that moment, you know, covid, where you went from horizontal to vertical. What are some just a couple of simple things in your book, and we're going to link your book in the show notes. But what are a few of those top things in your book, those simple shifts that you could share with her, just to kind of, you know, give her a sample of some of the things that have helped you tremendously, that she could get an idea of that have helped you.
K. Margaret 8:24
Yeah, so the book really focuses on energy, mindset and time, and we talked a little bit about time already. So I think a lot of our time structure in our own heads, this paradigm we have comes from either school or the workforce, where it's like you are valuable if you're sitting in the chair from nine to five and like there's no correlation to productivity or to how you feel, it's just I need to spend this time to get this done. So we kind of get stuck in that. And if you can step back and go, Okay, wait, I don't have to carve out. I loved writing. My book was actually a really good lesson for me about this, because I always thought to write a book, you have to, you know, take a trip to Bali and spend six weeks without anybody else and sequester yourself and get it all out. And I didn't have that time. So the summer, I wrote the first draft. I just said, after dinner, I'm going to set a timer 15 minutes. Hope everybody doesn't talk to me. I'm gonna make the timer visual like so everyone can see it, and I'm just gonna do the best I can. I'm gonna write whatever I can write in those 15 minutes, and in six weeks, the first draft was done. It was amazing. That's amazing. I love it. So it was this total flip for me of Oh, I thought it took this to get the book done. No, it just takes a little focused effort and some consistency. So, you know, like, so switching that expectation of time, of what you think it'll take to get something done, allow it to, you know, maybe happen more in a fun way. Like, think about that. Energy that you're already tying to it before it happens that bringing that awareness to it really shifts, starts to shift things, and then with that is kind of tied mindset. So I think we set ourselves up and we don't even realize it. There were a lot of language cues and different things that I had kind of picked up from life, from conditioning and growing up, and all the things that I didn't even realize were holding myself back. One of my favorites is, you know, when you're trying to explain how you're right about something, you actually are arguing for your own limitation. And when I learned that, it really offended me the first time. And then I was like, Well, wait a second. Wait, expand on that. Yeah. So when, when something happens and you're trying to, like, prove yourself, well, I this because of this, because of this, because of this, you're actually kind of building these little energetic walls where you're limiting your potential. You're not just doing it because you want to, or because you can, or because that's what you think is right. You're not the door isn't open. You're kind of closing that door this because of this, because of this reason. You're kind of closing it in energetically and not leaving that door open. So catching yourself explain like explaining why you're good enough or why you can do this. So letting that go is a very hard habit to let go, but it was really awesome. And it free. It's freeing energetically, but it's also gives you more time back and helps you start to shift the mindset of you're kicking butt already. Like moms do so much you're kicking butt already. I mean, give it up. By the time everybody else gets up, you've already had a full day. So, like, we don't need to prove ourselves. Like we're doing the best we can. We're making really good decisions we have been for years. There's no proving that needs to happen. But it's kind of this mindset that, oh, like, I have to explain why I made this good decision, or I have to show that, you know, and sometimes when you're having a teaching moment with your kids, I think it's nice to say, hey, here's how I arrived at that, because they're trying to learn how to make their own decisions. But in general, not boxing yourself in and and arguing for your limitations, but allowing yourself to just be yeah is huge. Like, let yourself take that space.
Scottie Durrett 12:27
I love thinking about those energetic walls, in addition to saving time, because I talked to a lot of moms about, you know, when you say no, you can stop there, right? We don't need to hear this. Is why I'm saying no, and go through the whole week of reasons, right? It's, it's very similar, right? You can just say thanks for the invitation. I can't make it, you know, but a lot that's exactly what you're talking about. We have to prove, right?
K. Margaret 12:54
Reminds me, I learned of a different definition of boundaries, so I had always thought of boundaries as keeping other people out. Like when someone talked about boundaries, I imagined like a deer fence on a property, you know, like, here's my fence. You stay on that side, I stay on this side. And then I was at a different workshop, and the woman was describing boundaries, no boundaries. Don't keep people other out. Keep other people out. They protect you. They keep you in. So instead of kind of leaking yourself out everywhere, you're like, No, this is my little boundary. It's not offensive to you. It's me holding myself up accountable however you want to say that. So it's more of a protection, self protection thing, and it's not meant against anyone else. So yeah,
Scottie Durrett 13:37
boundaries are meant to be rude. You know, I think there's, it's kind of similar to the word no, right? I think the word no and boundaries, they've kind of been put in this, you know, bucket of, you know, if you're not immediately pleasing, pleasing the other person, then you're being rude. But I think that when I learned how to set boundaries as a 45 year old woman, eventually, I finally realized that my relationships with other people actually deepened, because I was finally able to, you know, show up honestly in my feelings, right? Because I was being honest about what I was able to do and how I truly felt. Took some practice all this. It's taking practice, you know, but it's, it's incredible how the word ease, you keep talking about, it's the moments you're spending with people start to feel more easy versus more frustrating, and that's that's delightful, right?
K. Margaret 14:27
It is delightful, and it's a beautiful way to lead. As mothers, I think we forget we're such natural leaders. We are the leaders of our families, and that we know our kids watch us. But I think it's so cool that when you start to do those things more, it's not passively teaching. But it took me a while to wrap my head around because I always thought like, well, I have to explain this or teach this, or do this, or be obvious in this way so that they get the lesson. And my family is good. But then I the more I started to take care of myself. Yourself and just lead by example. And like you said when you were talking about boundaries, it made me think of my sleep and exercise routine. So since part of learning to take care of myself means I honor my bedtime more like I've always honored with my kids, I actually start to project that, and I get up earlier and do my exercise because that's the time I have, and I that's valuable to me. And so doing that in a way that my family sees, that they might not find it impressive at first, so they might find it really annoying, but eventually they see my consistency and it gains respect, and they're like, Oh, this is important. Look at that, you know, like it really helps you regulate your emotions, and I appreciate that, or wherever it comes across, that eventually there is a correlation. And I've watched all the members of my family pick something up from it, like, they all exercise more now, and they like, talk about the importance of sleep. Like, not, not, we don't talk about sleep all the time, but you know when it comes out, they're like, Oh, no. I don't want to do that. That's when I go to sleep. I was like, see, good, protect your sleep. So it's less about, you know, like leading by example. We do so much by example that I feel like we don't even remember, or don't realize, 100%
Scottie Durrett 16:15
my kids are, you know, I've got an 18 year old, a 17 year old, and it always cracks me up when they impersonate me back to me.
K. Margaret 16:22
They're the best at it too. They're the best at it too,
Scottie Durrett 16:25
but they always impersonate me in a way I would never predict. Right exactly what you said. They're watching us all the time, and what they absorb isn't what you would expect them to you know? It's they pick up the little nuances and how we speak and what we're doing, and it always surprises me. I can't believe you saw me do that, or that's what resonated, or that's what landed, you know, and it's interesting, it's they're watching us. And what you know, what we think is important to us, is important to us, but what they're watching,
K. Margaret 16:56
yeah, but it's also a gift for them. I think we always think, Oh, we want to serve our kids because we want our kids to do well, but you are serving your kids by leading with that good example and taking care of yourself. I love it.
Scottie Durrett 17:08
So let's move into I love so. I love energy. I love Reiki. I love our environment. I think it's really important. And this has been a huge growth for me. Same thing, I had a big time of, you know, tipping point around covid, and it's, you know, kind of kicked me into this beautiful, like Renaissance education of Scottie. And I think that's beautiful. I think, you know, one of the things that you are showing, by example, through your work is, just because we're, we're adults and we've become moms, doesn't mean we've also stopped growing. Yes, you know, I think that's also we're allowed to keep learning. We're allowed to keep shifting and growing, dreaming, dreaming. I love that word, but it, you know, for a mom who's still learning about, what does that mean? Can we talk about energetic like, energy in the space? What is energetic clutter? You know? What does that feel like? How does she know if a space has it, you know, like, what if she's looking around her room? Right now, what you know, if we're talking about this for the very first time, right?
K. Margaret 18:07
So everything has energy. You are energy, I am energy at our core. So everything also has, like, an energetic residue, and it kind of builds up in our spaces like dust does. So it's not something you can see, but it's generally something you can feel. So if you think of like extreme examples, if you think of a house that has not been lived in for years, and you were to go in it, you would kind of get that, like, damp, dusty, stale, kind of feeling, like the energy is not flowing in here, it doesn't feel good another way, because we serve so well. As moms, I always give up the give the example of hosting. So when you host other people in your home, you think about the energy, right? You want to set the mood? Yeah, you want to make sure when they come in that interest, it's clean, it's clear. When they come in that house, they feel fresh, they smell fresh, they feel fresh. They hear nice music. When you host a party with more people, you want to make sure that they flow like the food's here, the Entertainment's there, like there's a flow of your house there. Nobody's getting stuck in. So you think about when you're hosting, I think you very easily think about all these energy flows. If you can think about that for yourself, that's what I am for. Because I want you to have that feeling when you come in your house too, and then there are all these energetic links. So symbolically, our front door is where we welcome in opportunity. It's where we welcome in everything. So if you're outside of your front door and you're inside of your front door, are clean and clear. It doesn't have to be spotless. I mean, you can see mine in the back, and there's always stuff to pick up. But the idea is it feels good, you know, like if you like to go to a hotel, because you walk in and you get that fresh sense of no clutter, then okay, maybe the physical clutter is weighing you down. And. When I do energetic work and intuitive work, actually often see the energy. And to me it kind of looks like, you know, those weather maps where they draw the arrows of the currents. That kind of looks like that. So if there is a little less physical clutter, the energy literally flows more easily.
Scottie Durrett 20:16
So kind of like chakras in the body, is it kind of this, you know, if, like, your chakras are clean, then the energy is flowing. So it's, it's like, I love that picture of, like, the weather in your house,
K. Margaret 20:27
yeah, well, it's, and if you think of it, you know, if you were to open the window and you wanted to flow to the back of the house to kind of give everything a refresh, yeah, you would think about that air flowing through, and energy flows through, similarly, from your front door through your
Scottie Durrett 20:41
back door. I love that, but I like how you said it's, listen to what feels good to you, you know, like, notice what you like and what you don't like start there, right?
K. Margaret 20:51
Well, also kind of what's what's triggering you. So, like, if you have that one drawer that always sticks, it's not really a big deal, right? But every time it sticks and you get a little frustrated at it, you create this negative energy, right? It's not good for you. It's not making you less stressed and happier. It's making you more stressed, yeah, and building up this old it's keeping alive this flame of this old frustration, when in actuality, it would probably take you five to 10 minutes to fix the drawer, right? It's just a pain in the butt to fix it, but so doing these little thing for me, when I started, it was the bowls in our kitchen, like cereal, soup bowls. We had multiple that were chipped. Oh yeah, and where I grew up, you don't throw anything out unless you can't use it at all, at all. So there was no way for me to throw out in my head, right? The chipped bowls. And I would get sad every time I wash them, every time I put them away, every time I set the table. I'd give everybody else in my family the nicer ones, and me the chipped one. And then I'd feel worse while I was eating. So it was, it energetically pulled me down, yeah, sure. And I and I was thinking, well, at some point, finally it hit me, I'm the adult and I can go buy some new bowls. So I threw them in the trash, and I went, spent 20 bucks and bought four new bowls. It's not big deal, and that's been years, and I still get so excited to use a bowl every time I love it. So it's the opposite now. It's a positive, energetic anchor in my life. It's so little love it and it just lifts. So they're just they're all these places in your home that are opportunities to help lift your vibe, lift your energy, raise your vibration, so that you're operating at a higher vibration, and that makes that ease flow.
Scottie Durrett 22:29
I love that it's just even start to notice where you're feeling that kind of hiccup, that kind of that that moment where you might feel your energy pause or feel that little jolt Right, right?
K. Margaret 22:43
And when you release you allow you create space for new opportunities. So maybe it's a gift that you received that you feel badly giving away, but it's not really useful for you. Well, where can you re home that where energetically, it's going to be happier, and you're going to be happier, and you could welcome something good into your life.
Scottie Durrett 23:05
For women and moms, it's hard to say no to something, right when we get an invitation or say you get a gift, and you know, you never want to say no because it you don't want to feel like you're rejecting somebody. But I've always said, Gosh, my no might be somebody's Yes, and if I let that no pass me by, it could that person is like, oh my gosh, please send me that thing. Please send me that opportunity. Please send me that invitation. But if I hold on to it even though I don't really want it, it's going to miss that person. But same thing, if that gift isn't really connecting to my heart, if I re gift it, it could be exactly this incredible, you know, gift for that person. And so I love that that like, how can we really believe our bodies? How can we really believe our energy is actually trying to steer us right? It's trying to tell us what it knows. Like, it's like our intuition is actually trying to give us the blueprint, right? Why we have such a hard time trusting it?
K. Margaret 24:04
Oh, I think that's our conditioning where, oh, I mean, when I grew up, emotions were bad and they were unsafe, yeah, I learned to to swallow my emotions and not let them show. It took me a long time to allow myself to feel again. And then when you feel, you have to care about how you feel. That's another step. And then once you care about how you feel, you can start to notice be more in tune with what doesn't feel good and what does feel good. And like you said, they're just energetic messages. We as an assigned meaning to them, whether you want to assign it as something good for you or bad for you, that's up to you. But the emotions are just an energetic message going, Okay, wait. This is in alignment with what you want. This isn't in alignment with what you want, and it allows you to notice them. And when you feel the emotion, then it can leave. It doesn't get stuck in your body. That energy moves on. So being more sensitive and caring about how you feel, noticing, like I said, where the. Frustration, or even where the joy is. And then I always, like my top three for for bringing in good energy, are lighting. So looking at your lighting, maybe there's somewhere you can do a softer lamp where you spend time in the evening instead of a bright light, or thinking about how that lighting in your space affects you, fresh air. My favorite, of course, is always opening a window, but you could spritz some essential oils, or that literally changes the frequency as well. So thinking about the air around you. And then lastly, nature. We are really, nature is really in tune and high vibe, and we are meant to be out in nature. So how can you bring that into your space? I find that very calming. For some people, it's, you know, a bouquet of flowers, okay, maybe spending, for some people, it's a print, like a picture of nature. I've got lots of mountain pictures around my home that does it for me, but you can play with it if your favorite scent. I'm a really visual person, so for me, there's a lot of pictures of nature around my house. But if you're somebody who loves to sense and smells you, maybe you get a candle, you know, that has those beautiful natural nature smells, fruits or whatever works for you.
Scottie Durrett 26:09
I love it. I really appreciate you also bringing it into an example, like your chipped bowls, because it can feel overwhelming for you know, I think a woman to stop what she's doing and to say, I'm going to just start paying attention to how I feel and, you know, start feeling my feelings. But it's but even just noticing how much you know, your energy shifts when you're now enjoying to eat out of that bowl versus how you were feeling before. It does. It erases your vibration. You know, it does.
K. Margaret 26:39
You know, instead of saving the best mug for company. Use it for your own coffee, like, treat yourself as the princess for the morning, you know, like it's not really, it's not an investment. You haven't bought anything. It was just sitting in the cabinet anyway. But you're acknowledging that you're the most valuable, you know, in this situation. So you might as well use it. It's such a gift, and it's an easy, energetic shift.
Scottie Durrett 27:03
So I am a, I'm a Libra, and I love a good deep cleaning. I spent, you know, everybody was doing a bunch of Black Friday shopping, and I spent all of Black Friday unsubscribing from emails. It felt amazing. Well done. And I love a good Declutter. And I love, you know, cleaning out, you know, spring cleaning and fall cleaning and all that. But, you know, talk to me, what is a home frequency reset? How is that different from a spring cleaning? Like, what is, what are you coming in and actually doing? And how is that setting her up? You know, for a difference? How is that personal for her?
K. Margaret 27:38
Yeah, so I actually only work with energy. I don't work with the physical So, and I do only remote sessions at this point, so I don't actually see the inside of your home
Scottie Durrett 27:48
even better, because I think that means it's more possible for you to work with so many people.
K. Margaret 27:52
Yes, it's more possible for me to work with so many people. I also love that it kind of validates the work. I think not there is still, if you haven't had a lot of experience with energy work or Reiki or some sort of reading or session like that, it's sometimes difficult to trust that it's so valuable. And if I'm tuning in remotely and you're still getting messages that are specific to you and where you are and what you need, then it's that little bit of extra validation of like, Oh, right. This is these messages are for me. And so I work with an entire I ask if my client has an intention, and then a blueprint, so simple drawing of the space the home, and if there's any outside space, and then if there are any problem areas or areas of concern. And those are the three things I start with, and I tune in so similar, like you were mentioning, I used to work with individuals, and we do basically a chakra cleansing, right? You go through the main chakras of the body. This. I go room by room, and I'm actually trained as an angel Reiki master. So I it was mediumship and Reiki. So I work with the angels, and they come in and they they give me messages. So as I go through the room, they'll give little suggestions. And what I love is that they're little suggestions like, Hey, if you wanted to support this space, this would help balance it out. Or this would like someone had a high traffic front room, and they once suggested, like, a rock salt, because salt helps absorb energy, and that would help moderate things and not get out of energetic control, so to speak, so quickly. So I do a clearing. Love it of all of the energy, so everything's flowing after that, and then each room, there are always notes for each room of what was cleared or what can be done going forward. Oh my
Scottie Durrett 29:42
gosh, that is so I love it. How long does it take? So how you know, how long does this whole process take when you're working with somebody,
K. Margaret 29:51
not long a session is usually about an hour, an hour and a half, but I tune in separately, so you don't even have to be there. I do ask that you open your window. That afternoon, so the energy can release, and then within a day or two, I send a follow up report, and then we can meet afterwards to discuss that. If there are any questions, how
Scottie Durrett 30:10
amazing that there would be angels looking over your space and giving you guidance. That's so amazing. I love it.
K. Margaret 30:18
Yeah, there always are. There are angels around us, everywhere and always ready to help. But it's so much fun to make it put that connection, because, of course, they always, like Archangel Michael, works with protection or day to day life, so the different angels that are working with you at this time step forward, and I note that, and sometimes it's loved ones too. So that can be fun.
Scottie Durrett 30:38
What are some signs that somebody knows that their space needs an energetic reset. Maybe they're hearing it in their gut, and they're not sure.
K. Margaret 30:48
Well, I think if you're if you're going through any major life transition, and there's a big shift, so whether you've purchased a new home or welcomed a new member into the family, or any kind of those big life changes where you're, like, shifting into a different gear. It's great to do that, clear out and reset if you just feel like the energy is stuck or off. I had one client who just noticed that her family was arguing a lot, and so her intention was about communication. She's like, we're in this new space, this new house. I love it. It's my favorite one ever, but it's stuff, something isn't flowing, and I'd like you to come go through it, so that really helped everything get flowing for her. So for her, it was communication. Sometimes it is opportunity. I've had clients who feel stuck in their business and things aren't flowing and going, Okay, I work from home and something, I've tried everything. It's not working. Let's let's see energetically what's there, so she could start to shift things and and welcome in those new opportunities.
Scottie Durrett 31:53
That's incredible. So any kind of stuck, if they're just feeling stuck and just needing a little shift and wanting some movement, really, right? Right, yeah, yeah. I love that feeling. And so talk to me a little bit about the angel Reiki Master. I mean, I just think that's such an I mean, this is all since covid that you have. I mean, you've been incredible. Like, talk to me about this journey. I mean, you woke up, and I know that covid, covid really revealed the underbelly, I think for a lot of us, right? I mean, it just, I mean, I appreciate it, but Whoa, that was a big, yeah, I agree. I mean, it's for it, same it. I appreciate it, because it kind of elbowed me off of a path, thankfully, and got me onto another one. But, yeah, woke me up. But you've really, you know, you've done so much work. I mean, that is a ton of work, and a lot of energy focus and the book. I mean, this has been quite a journey. Can you share a little bit about what you know, moved you into that, that masters Reiki Master, you know, that's a lot of time and energy.
K. Margaret 32:53
Energy. It is. It is a lot of time and energy and work. This is source Spirit, God, universe, whatever word you want to use, is teaching me my lessons of faith, because it's just moving like following the breadcrumbs, so to speak, and being willing to go to the next thing without quite the demands of how it's supposed to look. So I learned about meditation when I started working on myself and trying to figure out how to make ease part of my day. And at first it was one minute on the timer and me just sitting there. And that was really, really difficult. I had so many thoughts in my head all the time. I had no idea how to calm them down. It was almost painful. So then I would work. I worked my way up to like, five minutes. I started using music. I now I do some guided meditations, but the idea was just to take time out. I now find it best to do it in the morning, first when I wake up, but anytime you can reconnect with yourself and and to just push pause on all the onslaught of information in your head and coming in is really helpful. I don't know. Do you ever listen to Abraham Hicks. Yep, yep. One of my favorite analogies they have is you need to plug in the vacuum cleaner like you can vacuum all day long and make the lines on the carpet. But unless you plug it in, it's not really vacuuming. And so meditating is like plugging in. So unless you take time to connect and start from a good place, you can go through all the motions and get a lot of stuff done, but it's not quite, you know, it's not quite you. You're not quite fucked in and doing you. That's interesting. So I meditated, it was years, and then I would, when I meditated, my hands would heat up really hot sometimes, like I put my glasses back on after meditation, and they would steam up. And I was like, well, something's moving, wow. And so I looked it up, and apparently hands have to do with healing. And so I started following different healing teachers and energetic healing and learning about it. And the teacher I found did Angel Reiki, and I've I always watched and followed media. Comes but I always thought that was something you're born with. I never thought that was something I could do. Turns out it's learned. There are three paths to spiritual awakening you can either not forget. So basically, you have it since you were a kid. You have a traumatic experience that kind of shocks you into it, or you learn it the slow way, like I did, and you meditate for years, and you slowly open up. It's like a muscle, you know, the more you do it, the easier it is to tune in, and the more you can hear. So when we pray, we ask, and when we meditate, we listen and we get the response. So it's that opening up and receiving mode. So yeah, I studied and became the an angel making master. And like I said, I used to work with individuals. And clear physical bodies, the energy there and then. I was always interested in spaces. We moved around a lot when I was a kid, so I've seen a lot of spaces, and I was always pretty in tune. And like I said, emotions weren't really allowed when I was a kid, but I could sense things, and I didn't realize that was a gift. Yeah, and then the angels kept bringing me things, like, I'd listened to podcasts, and there was somebody who talked about spaces, or there's like, it kept popping up. So one day, I just was journaling, and I was like, hey, what gives you know, I'm interested in this, but what? How do I how do I take what I've learned and what you're pointing towards and bring them together? And they literally helped me kind of map out how I could use the what I've learned with Angel Reiki and apply that to homes. And so that's, that's what I've been doing since I love it. I love
Scottie Durrett 36:37
that story. I really appreciate it. I've been on a similar journey, too, and I whatever it is, I think following the breadcrumbs and whatever it is she's interested in, I think it's just, it's all of it's a practice. Whoever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks, I who said that I just like to have go to lunch with them and tell them,
K. Margaret 36:57
yeah, Old habits die hard. And then I'd always follow up with new habits. Come on strong.
Scottie Durrett 37:01
Yeah, thank you. I think some of these old sayings, we kind of just need to revamp them a little bit, because it's just, you know, there's some, yeah, I think we're kind of proving that we're pretty all, you know, our brains are pretty magnificent. They're pretty they're not cement, you know. And our hearts are constantly moving and growing and beating. And I think it's, you know, it's not. Everything has to be figured out today. Oh, amen, you know, there's, you know, and there's so much beauty and kind of just, yeah, following those breadcrumbs and kind of seeing where they go. But also, what I appreciate with you is we can go through the day and build the life that we want and feel good. Yes, that's the point. That's the point. I think that's a big paradigm shift, yes, right? Because the 90s was the no pain, no gain, right? You had to really, or
K. Margaret 37:51
joy is a Lex luxury. Like, yeah, Joy is a luxury, especially as a mom, like, you know you're doing it wrong if you're having fun. No, no, definitely having fun and joy is the point, and I love that, because everyone has a different joy. Like, what brings you? Joy speaks to your uniqueness in this world. And so being you literally benefits everyone. If you are that magnet and that lighthouse of joy. Everyone else gets more too, yeah?
Scottie Durrett 38:23
And then your kids learn how to be themselves, right? Like, then they see you being you, and how much you love that, and how much you benefit from that. And like you said, they're watching us. And then they say, Wait, yeah, there's space for them too. My mom is owning herself, right? So I can do the same, yeah, because I
K. Margaret 38:41
feel like so much that we learn, we learn about the world, and then, okay, how can you fit into that world? And it's backwards, you know, the world does exist. But I remember when I started my business, and I looked around the I was out doing errands or something, and I looked around and I realized how everything around me was human made, you know, like, I took all this infrastructure and all these businesses as, like, they've always been there. That's the way the world is, and I operate in it. And I was like, it just hit me so hard that, Oh, someone invented chairs, someone invented, like, everything I use, someone had an idea, and they made it fit their world. And then I just came into that world. And, you know, like, there's space for me to have ideas, there's space for me to use this in a different way, or there's space for me to not use it like it's not a given, it's an option. And that's great, and I appreciate cheers. But, you know, like, move moving past like it goes to manifestation too. You know, it's all somebody's idea that's realized, and that's also understanding that what is around you are manifestations of past thoughts. So you still have opportunity to start thinking differently today and witness something different tomorrow. Wow.
Scottie Durrett 40:00
And you're talking in space. You're meant to be this. You're meant to be all about space. I love it so much. This, you're I love talking to you. We could talk for hours, but how can she find you? Where can she find you? How can she connect with you?
K. Margaret 40:12
Yeah, thanks so much. My website is delicious ease.com. So that's a great place to start. As you mentioned, I have a podcast. It's called intuitive wisdom. And yeah, you can link to my book. It's available on Amazon. Make easier
Scottie Durrett 40:25
vibe, perfect. I'm gonna put everything in the show notes. I'm obsessed. Oh, thank you. I can't wait to go check everything out. I I just appreciate not only everything that you were modeling for women and moms, because you're showing everybody that so much shift can happen in a short amount of time. And look what you've done for your energy and short amount of effort and short amount of effort, and you can feel good. Yeah, you've made shifts that have completely changed your life, and you feel better than you did five years ago. Oh, a million times. I mean, that's not even Elementary School length of time, you know. And I'm you're going first for your leader of women, you're a leader of moms, and you're a blueprint for your kids. And so I think that's awesome, and I love that you're sharing that in your work and on a podcast, because podcasts are free, and so for a mom that's listening who isn't necessarily sure that she's ready to do that she can go dive into your universe and get to know you better. And I think podcasts are one of those incredible mediums. Thank goodness for them, because it's just this beautiful way that they can learn about what's available. So thank you for everything that you're doing.
K. Margaret 41:37
It's the highest compliment. I very much appreciate it. There's nothing more that I want and to be inspirational like that, and I agree, podcasting meets you where you are, so yeah, it's exciting.
