It’s wonderful to be invited into the bar to hang out with these old friends! Elliot and Todd dig into the origins of things that are so familiar we’ve forgotten to wonder how they came about in the first place. I always learn something new with each episode, yet the fellas’ easy banter doesn’t make it seem like school at all!

Glad to hear y’all recognize the link between music and design. I have yet to be in a studio where the playlist wasn’t as curated as the book.

Love listening! Each episode is great from the banter between the hosts, to the ambiance, and of course the topics. Their topics of discussion so often are on content that I have familiarity with but would have never guessed have such a rich history. I’m not gonna say I “need” all the knowledge they share but I am sure entertained as I gain it.

This show is just what I like in a podcast: it’s about something I don’t know about but seek to understand; it’s entertaining; it doesn’t take itself too seriously; I ALWAYS learn some kind of interesting nugget about design. Does it make me want to abandon my career in arts administration and devote my life to becoming a designer? No. But it DOES give me insight I need for my job—and I can have a beer with Todd and Elliot while listening and learning. It’s fun!

Todd and Elliot provide entertaining discussions about design and creativity. The chatter between two friends makes it an easy listen with laugh out loud moments, walks down Memory Lane (Sports Mascots!) and an abundance of design history. Looking forward to more episodes!

The episodes in this series are incredibly entertaining and funny. Anyone—whether a creative person, lover of pop culture or both— can learn a lot about the amazing history of what we consume and why. The chemistry between Elliot and Todd is excellent. When I try a podcast, I’ll listen to usually the first and last to get a sense of it. I was immediately hooked and am binging all the eps from old to new. Interesting topics, cool guys who really like each other.

Why is this podcast great? Research. I love podcasts that require effort to produce (so tired of long, rambling podcasts with no educational value) - I want real content that has been researched and is presented in a clear, entertaining way, and every episode of this podcast fits the bill: enlightening, fun, and devoid of fluff. Highly recommended.

Enjoyable for a lot of reasons, but primarily the seasoned insight they share combined with their great personalities. Two Designers Walk Into a Bar is the design class you always wanted to take, but never did. A cool dive into historic, influential, and under appreciated design in an entertaining way.

These guys clearly know their stuff and know each other - a winning blend. The conversation comes east and the threads weave together to give a clearer picture not only of how design shapes culture - but how culture is inextricably linked to design and vice-a-versa. Give ‘em a shot - you won’t regret it!

Excellent podcast from two fellas that share a passion for design. The best part? No egos! These guys discuss design through the lens of two seasoned pros with an affinity for pop culture. Add a dash of nostalgia and you’ve got a fantastic, laid-back take on design and its history. Cheers, guys!

Speaking as a consumer of design and a connoisseur of nostalgia, this podcast is a well-versed look into some of the elements that make iconic designs through history.....well....iconic. Two gentlemen with decades of experience in the graphic world giving us a witty deep dive into some of the greatness that graced our lunch boxes and album covers throughout time. Good listen for anyone with an ear or two.

These guys know how to party! Pairs well with a long drive and loneliness. Perfect combination of wit, sarcasm, and intellect. This podcast welcomes a photographer into a world of design and marketing parallel to his own. Great job, guys!

Elliot and Todd are your best friends who are also awesome insightful designers who provide illuminated convos about all the things. Keep up the good work youngins.

You two are killing it in this podcast. My favorite “serious” line so far: “Take what you do seriously, but do not take yourself seriously.” Thank you for bringing us the podcast that us creatives didn’t know we needed so badly. Keep up the great work!

These two guys are not only authentic but they’re smart and they care about design. There’s none of your usual “I’m the best designer” hooblah... All they want to do (as far as I can tell) is talk design and form a community of people who want to continually learn new things about design and the art of creating. I recommend this podcast and I recommend the website - these guys have a great story.
