69 - The Clarity Challenge and the Third Door

69 - The Clarity Challenge and the Third Door

“Clarity leads to awareness. Awareness leads to growth.”

Alex Banayan, author of the book, “The Third Door”, created a tool called, “The 30-Day Clarity Challenge”. It involves getting a new notebook and writing the answers to these three questions every day: What filled me with enthusiasm today? What drained me of energy today? What did I learn about myself today?

In episode 69, Genny learned about the clarity challenge from her friend Laura McLeod. Despite not successfully keeping to the habit of writing in any journals for very long, she was intrigued by this concept and decided to give it a try. Genny was surprised at how much she enjoyed this exercise and started to see patterns of where she was drained of energy, and also what she learned about herself.

Genny read Alex’s book a few years ago and, because of the challenge, decided to read it again. She shared some of the messages and lessons learned from the book as well as a few of her own experiences.
