Did you know that, on average, we take about 22,000 breaths in a 24 hour period? Ever since we were born, breathing has been one of the fundamental processes our body does in order to survive. Although, as we grow older, our breathing patterns change and it can lead to different complications.

In this episode, Genny spoke with Jodian Self, who is the owner of Self Ignition, a business that focuses on fitness, performance, and recovery. A personal trainer, a certified JOGA coach, and a Yoga Body Breathwork coach, Jodian talks about the importance of breathwork in our daily lives, and talks about the different types of breathwork for different times of the day, along with the benefit it gives to the various body systems. She even spoke about “coffee breath”, which is performed to wake up the nervous system.

Aside from breathwork, Jodian spoke about JOGA, which is actually "jock yoga", and which is mainly geared towards athletes. She shares the similarities and differences between JOGA and yoga.
