In episode 34, Genny talks about Miss McLeod. She was her favourite teacher growing up, who not only inspired her to embrace her creativity but also inspired her to want to become a teacher herself.

Genny also shares how her education plans took a different path but how she never gave up on her dream of being a teacher. She was able to realize that when she started teaching Zumba in 2010, and then teaching for the University of Winnipeg PACE (Professional Applied Continuing Education) program in 2017.
